I'm Home.... ahhh....

Oh my gosh, what a fabulous market! what a fabulous retreat at NIAH. All in all a terrific week. I am just posting a quick note to let you know I am home from the Nashville Needlework market, do check with your local needlework shop for what's new from JDD- we had a wonderful time at market. I arrived on Thursday from LA - I had been visiting my friend after the event in San Francisco and then traveled to Nashville. A big hug from Tina and Teri from Shepherd's Bush at the airport as we came in the same time. We toodled to the grocery store and got a few items on our list for the fridge and the booth. A lovely dinner out with Ann and Pat from R&R - and their awesome helpers Cheryl and Norma and the SB gals and then for me it was get my boxes from Lindy from The Silver Needle - and sort through getting my stuff ready to take to the class in the am for the shop owners! It was for Stitch with the designers morning and what a treat to see everyone again. Most of Friday after the brief class period was setting up the booth.... then at 5:00 down to the ballroom for the Make it Take it - it was pandemonium - wonderful fun.... and our little quaker spring pincushions were nabbed up quickly much to my delight. The little flower stand, the scissors fob and the pincushion were fun to stitch.

Saturday and Sunday we sold stuff!! and that is great! Thank you shop owners for your support - I appreicate the time and effort it takes to come to the show - and the best part -to get to visit with each of you, too bad it is never longer than a quick minute but delightful nevertheless. 9 out of 10 of my boxes arrived.... too bad about the 10th - in it was my Isle of Hope Sampler - but the distributors will have this - so that bring me to the new items..... I will finish getting myself sorted from the chaos and will post pictures soon.

Nashville - new- coming up soon.

Well it is all packed and shipped for the Needlework show in Nashville next weekend! Yay! I ran out of tape, and ran out of energy by the end. But it is all sent and out the door, always a good feeling. Tomorrow I am off to the event at Needle In a Haystack in Alameda, CA - it will be a nice temperature change. We have actually had not a bad January and February but it was cold these past few days, so I am ready for a warm up. After the event and fun stuff in Alameda I will be off to see my long time friend in LA, looking forward to that. Then from LA to the needlework show, so you can see I had to be organized. I will post all the new stuff upon return, I love a surprise so surprise it is for shops that attend the show. It is always a treat to see everyone and I look forward to the shops sharing the new goods with you! Enjoy.

January 2013

Well somehow I could have thought something more creative for a title, but really I am always doing these things on the fly and nothing comes quick under pressure, for me anyway.... new Canada Postal rates, so updated the Pitney Bowes machine so I could mail! Answered a pile of emails.... opened up Photoshop-trying to get my covers done for Nashville, most of the documents are done, but I get ants in my pants from sitting too long writing instructions, I think it is the worst part of the job, writing..... and making sure we have all the 'stuff' to make those great little thread packs with the patterns.... so then it is did we order from here and there etc..... hoping the border services agency doesn't hold on to things too long. Poor Wilma; her spreadsheet making ability is sorely tested at around January for dealing with all the new stuff..... oh yes and then make the 4 x 4 sheets that go in the thread  packs.... are you able to separate the threads okay? ...... phone the photographer to get that good picture .....okay see my brain is flitting about...... maybe that's what happens in your fifties! Just thought I'd let you know what I'm up to.... come and see the new patterns soon.... fun...!
